Bus
From Florence, head to the main bus station, 'Firenze S.M.N.', located near the Santa Maria Novella train station. Look for the buses heading to San Gimignano, specifically those operated by 'Tiemme'. Purchase a ticket from the ticket counter or a vending machine. Board the bus, and enjoy the scenic ride (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes). The bus will drop you off at the San Gimignano bus terminal. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to Via Degli Innocenti. Exit the bus terminal and head straight on Via dei Pescatori. Turn left onto Via San Giovanni and continue until you reach Via Degli Innocenti.
Train and Bus
Take a train from Florence Santa Maria Novella station to Poggibonsi. The train ride takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Poggibonsi train station, exit the station and look for the bus stop for 'Tiemme' buses. Take the bus towards San Gimignano, which takes around 30 minutes. Alight at the San Gimignano bus terminal. From there, walk about 10 minutes to Via Degli Innocenti by heading straight on Via dei Pescatori, then turning left onto Via San Giovanni.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a quicker route, you can use a taxi or rideshare service. Simply call a local taxi service or use an app like Uber. The driver will take you directly to Via Degli Innocenti in San Gimignano. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, depending on traffic. This option is more expensive but is the most convenient, especially if you have luggage or prefer not to navigate public transport.
