Walking
From the Santa Croce area, head south towards Via dei Benci. Turn right onto Via dei Benci and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via delle Vecchie Carceri. Turn left onto Via delle Vecchie Carceri, which will lead you directly towards the Ponte alle Grazie. Cross the bridge and continue straight until you arrive at Piazzale degli Uffizi. The Uffizi Gallery will be located at number 6 on Piazzale degli Uffizi. This journey should take around 15-20 minutes depending on your pace.
Public Transport (Bus)
If you prefer public transport, you can take Bus Line C2 from the Santa Croce area. Look for the nearest bus stop, 'Piazza Santa Croce', and board the bus towards 'Piazza della Libertà'. After a few stops, get off at 'Piazza della Signoria'. From there, it’s a short walk to the Uffizi Gallery. Head towards the Uffizi Gallery by following the signs or simply walk straight through the piazza. This option will take around 10 minutes for the bus ride plus an additional 5-minute walk.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
For a more comfortable and quicker option, consider taking a taxi or using a ride-sharing service like Uber. You can hail a taxi from anywhere in Santa Croce or request a ride through the app. The driver will take you to Piazzale degli Uffizi. The ride typically takes about 5-10 minutes. Be aware that taxi fares may vary, and it's advisable to check the rates beforehand.
