Car

If you're driving to Udine Castle, take the A23 motorway and exit at Udine Sud. Follow the signs towards the city center (Centro). Once you reach the city, follow Via Cividale, which becomes Via Marangoni. Continue straight until you reach P.le della Patria del Friuli. The castle is located at P.le della Patria del Friuli, 1. There is parking available nearby, but it can be limited during peak tourist seasons.

Public Transportation

To reach Udine Castle via public transportation, take a train to Udine station if you're coming from other cities in Friuli Venezia Giulia. From the Udine train station, exit and board bus number 3 or 9 towards 'Centro'. Get off at 'Piazza Libertà'. From there, it's a short walk: head east on Via Vittoria Veneto, then turn right onto Via Cavour, which leads you directly to the castle in about 10 minutes.

Walking

If you are already in the city center of Udine, Udine Castle is a pleasant walk away. Start at Piazza della Libertà and head north on Via Cavour. Continue straight until you reach the castle entrance at P.le della Patria del Friuli, 1. The walk should take about 15 minutes and offers beautiful views of the city along the way.
