Public Transport (Bus)
To reach Forte Begato from the city center, start at Piazza De Ferrari, which is the main square in Genoa. From there, head to the bus stop at Via XX Settembre. Take the bus number 35 (direction 'Molassana') or bus number 36 (direction 'Molo') and ride for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the 'Forte Begato' stop. After getting off, follow the signs leading to the fortress, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

You can also take a train to Genova Brignole station if you are coming from outside Genoa. Once at Genova Brignole, exit the station and head to the nearby bus stop. Take bus number 35 or 36 towards 'Forte Begato'. The journey will take around 30 minutes, and the bus will drop you off close to the entrance of the fortress. Follow the signs to the fortress entrance.
