From the main train station, Genova Piazza Principe, exit the station and head towards Via Balbi. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Via XX Settembre. Turn left onto Via XX Settembre and continue walking until you reach the Carlo Felice Theatre. From there, take Via Giuseppe Mazzini, and follow it until it turns into Via delle Baracche. Forte Puin will be on your right as you walk along Via delle Baracche.
