From the main train station, Genova Piazza Principe, exit the station and head towards Via Balbi. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Via XX Settembre. Turn left onto Via XX Settembre and continue walking until you reach the Carlo Felice Theatre. From there, take Via Giuseppe Mazzini, and follow it until it turns into Via delle Baracche. Forte Puin will be on your right as you walk along Via delle Baracche.

From the central location of Piazza De Ferrari, locate the nearby bus stop that serves Line 35. Board the bus heading towards 'Rivarolo' and get off at the stop 'Via delle Baracche'. After disembarking, walk straight for about 5 minutes; Forte Puin will be on your left side along the street.

From the central area near Piazza De Ferrari, walk to the nearby funicular station 'Funicolare di Zecca - Righi'. Take the funicular uphill towards Righi. Once you reach the top, exit the station and follow the signs towards 'Forte Puin'. It's about a 15-minute walk from the station, descending slightly until you reach Via delle Baracche.
