Train
From Genoa, head to the Genova Piazza Principe railway station. You can take the Metro Line 1 to the station if you're near a Metro stop. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Chiavari. Trains to Chiavari run frequently, so check the schedule on the Trenitalia website or at the station. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Chiavari station, exit the station and turn right onto Via Vittorio Veneto. Continue straight until you reach Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, where Parco di Villa Rocca is located.
Bus
You can take a bus from Genoa to Chiavari. Head to the main bus terminal at Via Fanti d'Italia, which is easily accessible via public transport or a short walk depending on your location in Genoa. Look for buses heading to Chiavari; the journey usually takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Chiavari, follow the signs to Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, which is within walking distance from the bus station.
Train + Walk
If you are in the central area of Genoa, walk to the Genova Brignole railway station, which is another option for trains to Chiavari. From Brignole, take a train towards La Spezia and disembark at Chiavari. After exiting the train, head right towards the main road and follow signs to Piazza Giacomo Matteotti. The park is a short 10-minute walk from the station.
