If you are starting from the city center, head towards Via Garibaldi. Walk along Via Garibaldi until you reach Piazza Fontane Marose and then turn left onto Via San Lorenzo. Continue straight until you reach Piazza San Lorenzo, where you will find the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. From the cathedral, walk straight along Via di Porta Soprana and continue until you arrive at the waterfront area. At the waterfront, you will see signs directing you towards the Galata Museo del Mare. The museum is located at Calata Ansaldo De Mari, 1, right by the harbor.

From the central train station (Genova Piazza Principe), you can take bus number 1 towards 'Foce'. Get off at the stop 'Ammiraglio'. From there, it is a 10-minute walk. Head towards the waterfront, following the signs for the Galata Museo del Mare, located at Calata Ansaldo De Mari, 1. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes, and buses run frequently.
