Getting There

• Walking

  From the central area of Herculaneum, head towards the Herculaneum Archaeological Site entrance. Once you exit the site, turn left onto Corso Resina. Continue walking straight for approximately 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Via Margherita di Savoia. Turn right onto Via Margherita di Savoia and walk for about 300 meters. Next, turn left onto Via Roma, and continue straight until you reach the train station 'Ercolano Scavi'. Here, you will catch the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento. After about a 30-minute ride, disembark at the Sorrento station. From the station, walk towards the main square, Piazza Tasso, and then head to Piazza Sant'Antonino, which is just a few minutes away on foot.

• Public Transport

  Make your way to the 'Ercolano Scavi' train station from central Herculaneum. You can do this by walking along Corso Resina towards the train station, which is approximately 800 meters away. Once you arrive at the station, buy a ticket for the Circumvesuviana line towards Sorrento. The train ride takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Sorrento station, exit the station and walk towards Piazza Tasso. From there, navigate to Piazza Sant'Antonino, which is just a short walk away.

  If you prefer not to walk or take public transport, you can hire a taxi from Herculaneum to Sorrento. You can find taxis near the Herculaneum Archaeological Site entrance or call one using a local taxi service. The taxi ride will take approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to tell the driver to take you to Piazza Sant'Antonino in Sorrento. Confirm the price before starting your journey.
