Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Herculaneum, head towards the Herculaneum Archaeological site entrance. Once there, exit the site and head to Via Pugliano. Turn left on Via Pugliano and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn right onto Via Roma and keep walking until you reach the Circumvesuviana train station, which should take about 15 minutes. Once at the station, take the train to Napoli Porta Nolana. After approximately 25 minutes, disembark at Napoli Centrale station. From there, follow the signs to the Metro. Take Line 1 towards Piscinola and get off at the Municipio stop. Exit the station, and you will find yourself at Piazza Municipio.

    From Herculaneum, walk to the Circumvesuviana train station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the archaeological site. At the station, purchase a ticket to Napoli Centrale. The train ride takes approximately 25 minutes. Upon arrival at Napoli Centrale, follow the signs to the Metro station and take Line 1 towards Piscinola. Get off at the Municipio stop. After exiting the metro station, you will be at Piazza Municipio.
