Walking
From the central area of Herculaneum, start at the Ercolano Scavi train station. Exit the station and head towards Corso Resina. Walk along Corso Resina until you reach the junction with Via Roma. Continue straight on Via Roma, passing the entrance to the archaeological site. After about 1.5 km, you will reach the waterfront area of Ercolano. From there, look for signs directing you to the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Procida Island, which will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Procida, follow the signs for Via Marina Chiaiolella. The Vivara National Reserve will be located at Via Marina Chiaiolella, 30, within a short walking distance from the ferry terminal.

Start at the Ercolano Scavi train station and take the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento. Get off at the Naples Garibaldi station. From there, transfer to the Metro Line 1 towards Piscinola and get off at the Molo Beverello stop. Walk to the ferry terminal at Molo Beverello and catch a ferry to Procida. The ferry ride takes approximately 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Procida, walk towards Via Marina Chiaiolella, which is about a 15-minute walk from the ferry terminal. Follow the signs to the National Reserve, which will be located at Via Marina Chiaiolella, 30.
