Walking
From the Herculaneum archaeological site, head southeast on Via dei Papiri Ercolanesi. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn left onto Via Roma and proceed until you reach the Piazza del Plebiscito. From there, take Via Giuseppe Mazzini and walk until you reach the train station of Ercolano Scavi. Take the Circumvesuviana train towards Salerno. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at Salerno Station. Upon exiting the station, head southwest on Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi, then turn left onto Via la Carnale. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes, and you will reach Forte La Carnale.

Start at Ercolano Scavi train station. Purchase a ticket for the Circumvesuviana line towards Salerno. Board the train and enjoy the scenic ride, which should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Salerno Station, exit the station and make your way to Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi. Walk southwest, and then take a left onto Via la Carnale. Walk straight for approximately 10 minutes, and you will find Forte La Carnale.
