Getting There

• Car

  From La Thuile, start by heading northeast on Strada Statale 26 (SS26) towards Pré-Saint-Didier. Continue for approximately 15 kilometers (about 20 minutes). As you approach Pré-Saint-Didier, look for the signs indicating Vallone di La Thuile. Take the exit towards Vallone di La Thuile and follow the signs. There is a small parking area near the entrance to the ravine where you can park your car. Parking may incur a small fee, so be prepared with some change.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, you can take a local bus from La Thuile to Pré-Saint-Didier. The bus service is operated by the local transport company, and tickets can be purchased at the bus station or onboard the bus. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Pré-Saint-Didier, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach Vallone di La Thuile. Follow the signs towards the ravine; the path is well-marked. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance for the return trip.

• Walking

  For those who prefer to walk, you can take a scenic trail from La Thuile to Vallone di La Thuile. Head out of La Thuile towards the direction of Pré-Saint-Didier. The walk is approximately 5 kilometers and takes around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Follow the trail signs that lead towards the ravine. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the trail can be rugged in places.
