Discover more about Az.Ag. Cordero di Montezemolo

Nestled in the heart of the Langhe region, Az. Ag. Cordero di Montezemolo offers a captivating journey into the world of Barolo winemaking. For nineteen generations, since 1340, the Cordero di Montezemolo family has cultivated the Monfalletto estate in La Morra. The estate's history is intertwined with the noble Falletti family, who owned a significant portion of the Barolo region. Today, Giovanni Cordero di Montezemolo and his children, Elena and Alberto, continue the family legacy, producing exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Langhe. The winery's location offers breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards and villages. A landmark cedar of Lebanon, planted in 1856, stands atop the Monfalletto hill, overlooking the 28-hectare single-body vineyard. This historic vineyard is cultivated with local varieties, carefully selected and planted according to sun exposure, soil type, and altitude. Visitors can explore the estate through guided tours and wine tastings, experiencing the passion and dedication that goes into each bottle. The "Superior tasting" is recommended by some visitors, which includes a selection of six different wines. The Cordero di Montezemolo winery is known for its Barolo wines, particularly the Barolo Monfalletto and Barolo Enrico VI. The Barolo Enrico VI is sourced from an old vineyard in the Villero cru of Castiglione Falletto. In addition to Barolo, the winery produces Barbera d'Alba, Langhe Arneis, and Langhe Chardonnay. The winery has been lauded for making Barolo a more accessible and flexible wine.
