Discover more about Castello di Neive

Castello di Neive stands as a testament to the rich winemaking heritage of the Langhe region in Piedmont, Italy. Located in the village of Neive, one of the three villages within the Barbaresco wine zone , the castle's origins trace back to the early 18th century, built upon foundations from the 16th and 17th centuries. The Stupino family acquired the Castello di Neive in 1964 and transformed the castle cellars and reorganized their vineyards to produce wine according to modern methods. Today, siblings Anna, Giulio, Italo, and Piera Stupino own the 150-acre estate. The estate covers approximately 60 hectares, with 25 hectares dedicated to vineyards. These vineyards, including prized sites like Santo Stefano, Gallina, Messoirano, and Basarin, yield grapes for the estate's renowned Barbaresco, Dolcetto, and other varietals. The cellars themselves are a sight to behold, featuring high vaulted ceilings designed to accommodate large barrels, and an 'infernotto,' a traditional cold larder for preserving meats, cheeses, and wine. Visitors to Castello di Neive can immerse themselves in the winemaking process through guided tours and tastings. Explore the historic cellars, learn about the estate's commitment to tradition, research, and creativity, and sample a range of their distinguished wines. The experience provides insight into the unique terroir of the Langhe and the passion that goes into crafting each bottle.
