From the parking area, it’s a short walk to the castle. Follow the signs towards Salita al Castello, a steep path that leads directly to the castle entrance. This is a straightforward option with regular service from major cities like Genoa or La Spezia. Once you arrive at the Santa Margherita Ligure train station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Via Roma. Turn right and follow this road until you reach the seafront promenade. From there, continue walking along the promenade until you see signs leading up to Salita al Castello. The walk to the castle will take approximately 15-20 minutes and includes a moderate incline. Wear comfortable shoes as the path can be steep in places.
