Public Transport
From the center of Livigno, take the local bus service (Line 3) towards Val Alpisella. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. After getting off the bus, follow the marked trail for about 30 minutes to reach Lago Alpisella. The bus service in Livigno is free. Make sure to check the current bus schedule for exact times.
Walking
If you prefer hiking from Livigno, start at Via Saroch and follow the well-marked path. The hike to Lago Alpisella takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry enough water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the way. From the Latteria di Livigno, take the dirt road that runs alongside the lake, leading through an ancient larch forest (Bosc del Restel) to the Ristoro Val Alpisella. Continue along the cart track that ascends to the right of the Ristoro until you reach a small bridge, beyond which a simple path begins to climb.
Car
If driving from central Livigno, head towards Via Saroch. Follow Via Saroch until the roundabout, then take the first exit onto Via Rin. After about 2 km, you'll see a sign for Lago Alpisella. Turn left onto the dirt road leading to the lake. The drive is about 15 minutes, and the road can be narrow and winding, so drive carefully. Parking options near the lake may be limited. Parking P4 is located near Latteria di Livigno.
