Discover more about Fattoria Del Teso Srl

Fattoria Del Teso is located in Montecarlo, a charming medieval village between Lucca, Pisa and Florence. The winery's history is deeply intertwined with the region's viticultural traditions, dating back to ancient Roman times when the village was known as Vivinaia. The estate itself has been fought over by nobility and clergy since the Middle Ages. In the late 19th century, Montecarlo's winegrowers traveled to France's Chablis region to learn new techniques, bringing back innovative methods and vines. Today, Fattoria Del Teso continues to produce wines that reflect the unique terroir of Montecarlo. The winery covers 50 hectares, with 20 hectares dedicated to vineyards. They cultivate a variety of grapes, including Vermentino, Trebbiano, Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah. Visitors to Fattoria Del Teso can immerse themselves in the winemaking process with guided tours of the vineyards and cellars. Wine tastings are offered in the historic conservation cellar, surrounded by ancient barrels, or in relaxing outdoor areas. The estate is known for its Montecarlo Rosso DOC and Montecarlo Bianco DOC wines, as well as its Vinsanto, aged for 10 years in a special under-roof Vinsantaia.
