Walking
From the Lucca City Walls, head east towards Via San Paolino. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Fillungo. Turn right and walk along Via Fillungo until you reach Piazza San Michele. From Piazza San Michele, take Via dell'Anfiteatro and continue until you reach the end of the square. Turn left onto Via dei Carpentieri, and then take a right onto Via della Chiesa di San Giovanni. Follow this street until you see the entrance to the Orto Botanico Comunale di Lucca on your left at Casermetta San Regolo, Baluardo San Regolo.

From the main train station in Lucca (Stazione di Lucca), exit the station and head towards the bus stop located outside. Take bus number 1 or 2 towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Piazza San Michele'. From there, follow the walking directions mentioned above to reach the Orto Botanico Comunale di Lucca.

If you have rented a bicycle, start from the Lucca City Walls. Ride east on Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi until you reach the intersection with Via San Paolino. Turn right onto Via San Paolino, then take a left onto Via Fillungo. Continue cycling until you reach Piazza San Michele. From the piazza, follow Via dell'Anfiteatro and continue to the end of the square. Turn left onto Via dei Carpentieri and then right onto Via della Chiesa di San Giovanni. The entrance to the Orto Botanico Comunale di Lucca will be on your left.
