Walking
From the Cathedral of San Martino, head out of the cathedral square (Piazza San Martino) and go towards Via Santa Lucia. Turn left onto Via Fillungo, which is the main shopping street in Lucca. Continue walking until you reach the city walls. Once you reach the walls, turn right and walk along the pathway until you see the entrance to Saint Martino Bulwark on your left at Viale delle Mura Urbane. This walk is free.

If arriving by train at Lucca Station, take a bus towards the city center. Several bus lines connect the station to various points along the city walls. Get off at a stop near the walls and walk to the Saint Martino Bulwark. Bus tickets cost approximately €1-€2.
