After about 50 minutes, get off at the 'Sambuca Pistoiese' stop. Walk towards the center of the village and follow the signs for the State Reserve, about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Bus tickets cost approximately €2.

    From Pistoia, drive towards Sambuca Pistoiese. The road distance is approximately 28 km and takes about 29 minutes. Limited parking may be available near the reserve entrance. Check for parking fees and availability upon arrival. Parking near Santo Stefano Hospital in Prato costs approximately €1 per hour.

    From the city center of Lucca, head towards the Porta San Pietro. Exit through the gate and walk straight along Via San Pietro until you reach the intersection with Via Fratelli Cervi. Turn left onto Via Fratelli Cervi and follow it for about 3 km until you reach the village of San Giovanni. From San Giovanni, take the SP7 road heading towards Sambuca Pistoiese. After about 6 km, you will arrive at the State Reserve in Sambuca Pistoiese.
