    Car

    From Prato, follow the signs for Vaiano and Vernio. After passing Santa Lucia, in località La Foresta, turn right towards Gamberame. Cross the bridge over the Bisenzio river and follow the road to the left, uphill for about 2 kilometers until you reach Faltugnano. At the sign indicating Faltugnano, take the road to the right, which becomes unpaved after a few meters, for another 2 kilometers until you reach the 'terrace' where the road ends at the beginning of the path that leads to Rio Buti. Parking is available near the trailhead. Expect to pay around €1-2 per hour for parking.

    Public Transport

    Take a train from Prato Centrale to Vaiano. From the Vaiano train station, it's approximately a 30-minute walk to Fonte Buia. Alternatively, take bus line 3 from Prato Centrale to Vaiano and disembark at the Vaiano bus stop. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to Fonte Buia. A single bus ticket costs around €1.50.
