Discover more about Branca Tower

The Branca Tower, or Torre Branca, stands as a symbol of Milanese innovation and architectural prowess. Designed by the renowned architect Gio Ponti and inaugurated in 1933 during the 5th Milan Triennial, the tower was originally named Torre Littoria. It was erected in a mere two and a half months. The tower's sleek steel frame reaches a height of 108.6 meters, offering breathtaking views of Milan and its surroundings. For a time, a decree limited the height of buildings so that they would not exceed the Madonnina atop the Duomo, but the tower exceeded the height by a small margin. After a period of closure for restoration, the Branca liquor company revitalized the structure in 2002, giving it its current name. An elevator whisks visitors to the top in under a minute, where they can admire the city's major landmarks, including the Duomo, Castello Sforzesco, and Arco della Pace. On a clear day, the panorama extends to the Alps, Apennines, and the Po Valley. Located in Parco Sempione, the city's expansive green space, the tower provides a contrasting experience to the urban environment. The park itself hosts cultural events and exhibitions, enhancing the overall experience for tourists. At the base of the tower, you can find the Just Cavalli Hollywood Cafe.
