Getting There

    Brera is centrally located and easily accessible on foot from many of Milan's main attractions. From the Duomo, walk northwest along Via Giuseppe Mengoni, then continue onto Via Alessandro Manzoni. Turn left onto Via Brera. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes.

  • Public Transport

    The closest metro stops to Brera are Montenapoleone (M3 line) and Lanza (M2 line). From Montenapoleone, walk northwest along Via Alessandro Manzoni, then turn left onto Via Brera. From Lanza, walk east along Via Pontaccio, then turn right onto Via Brera. Tram number 1 also stops at Via Montenapoleone. A single metro/tram ticket costs €2.20.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Milan. A short taxi ride from the Duomo to Brera will cost approximately €10-€15, depending on traffic. Taxi fares start at €4.10 during the day and €7.90 at night, plus €1.32 per kilometer.

  • Driving

    Driving in Brera is possible, but it's located within Milan's Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) Area C, which has restrictions and a €5 entry fee for non-residents on weekdays from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM. Parking is available at ParkingCAR Brera - Montenapoleone in Via Brera, 3A, which costs approximately €25 per day. Be aware that you may need to leave your keys with the car park staff.
