Train
From Milan, head to Milano Centrale railway station. Purchase a ticket to Como at the ticket counter or automated machines. Board a train heading towards Como Lago. The journey takes about 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive at Como Lago station, exit the station and walk straight ahead until you reach P.za Alessandro Volta, which is approximately a 10-minute walk.
Bus
From Milan, go to the Milan Central Bus Station (Stazione Autolinee di Milano). Look for the bus services to Como. Purchase a ticket from the ticket counter or bus driver. The bus ride takes around 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at Como, get off the bus and walk towards P.za Alessandro Volta, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
Metro and Train
Take the Metro Line 3 (Yellow Line) from any station in Milan towards Duomo. At Duomo station, transfer to the Metro Line 1 (Red Line) and travel to Sesto 1 Maggio FS. From there, take a train to Como Lago. The entire journey might take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Como Lago station, exit and walk straight for about 10 minutes to reach P.za Alessandro Volta.
