Discover more about Rasini palace and tower

The Rasini Palace and Tower, known in Italian as Palazzo e Torre Rasini, is a historical building complex in Milan, serving as luxury apartments. Located at the intersection of Corso Venezia and Bastioni di Porta Venezia, it consists of two parts: the Palace and the Tower, designed as a unified architectural project. The palace is situated at Corso Venezia number 61, while the tower is located along Bastioni di Porta Venezia at number 1. The complex occupies a prominent urban location between the Bastioni and the spacious Public Gardens, directly opposite the Porta Venezia tollgates. It marks the boundary of the historic center, delineating the end of Corso Venezia and the beginning of Corso Buenos Aires. The complex comprises two buildings: the Palace, with its entrance on Corso Venezia, has six floors, while the Tower, immediately to the west, has 12 floors, reaching a total height of 50 meters. The complex, or "group of houses" as Ponti called it, is located on a prestigious area previously occupied by a neoclassical palace owned by the Rasini brothers, Giovanni and Mario. The Rasini family commissioned Emilio Lancia and Gio Ponti to design the buildings in the Novecento style from 1932 to 1935. The construction marked the end of the professional partnership between the two architects. The Palace has a compact and linear form, characterized by classical composure, while the Tower has more dynamic forms, from the bow window on the facade to the terraces on the back sloping towards the garden, up to the upper loggia. The ground floor of both buildings houses offices.
