Getting There

• Public Transport

  From Modena city center, head to the Modena train station (Stazione di Modena). You can walk there or take a local bus. Once at the station, purchase a ticket for a train to Bologna Centrale. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at Bologna Centrale, transfer to a train heading towards Ravenna. Get off at the Castenaso station, which is the closest stop to Beaver Island. From Castenaso station, you can take a local bus (Line 101) towards Modena, which will take you to the vicinity of Beaver Island. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance for timings.

• Bicycle

  For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle in Modena. Head towards Via Emilia, and follow the signs directing you to the outskirts of the city. Once you reach the countryside, follow the bike paths that lead to the Po River area. Beaver Island is located near the river, so you can use a navigation app to guide you directly to it. The bike ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your speed and the exact route you take.

• Walking

  If you enjoy walking and are up for a longer trek, you can start from the Modena city center and walk towards the outskirts. Follow Via Emilia towards the east, and then navigate through the smaller roads leading to the Po River. This route will take you through scenic countryside and local neighborhoods. The distance is approximately 10 kilometers, so be prepared for a 2 to 3-hour walk, depending on your pace. Use a map or navigation app to ensure you stay on track to reach Beaver Island.
