Discover more about CANTINE DEL CASTELLO CONTI

Cantine del Castello Conti is a winery steeped in tradition, located in the heart of Maggiora, in the province of Novara, Italy. This family-run estate has been producing distinctive Boca DOC wines since the early 1970s, when Ermanno Conti planted the first vineyards. Today, his daughters, Elena, Anna, and Paola, continue his legacy, crafting wines that express the unique character of the Alto Piemonte region. The vineyards of Cantine del Castello Conti extend over three hectares, divided into seven plots around Maggiora. The soil, of volcanic origin, is particularly suited to the cultivation of Nebbiolo, Vespolina, and Uva Rara, the grapes that compose Boca wine. The winery also cultivates vineyards according to the traditional "Maggiorina" system, a local method of vine training that involves planting vines in a square pattern supported by chestnut poles. This labor-intensive system reflects the Conti family's commitment to preserving the historical viticultural heritage of the area. Visitors to Cantine del Castello Conti can experience the winery's rich history and dedication to quality firsthand. The cellar, built in the early 1960s, houses the winemaking facilities as well as tasting and sales rooms. Here, guests can sample the estate's wines and learn about the winemaking process, from grape to bottle. The winery also hosts artistic and cultural events, creating a welcoming space for sharing and dialogue. Vertical tastings of Boca DOC, starting from the 1984 vintage, can be organized upon request.
