Walking
From the village of Staffal, follow trail marker 7. The well-maintained path ascends gradually, passing through meadows and woodland before reaching the moraine. The final ascent up the moraine involves a short section with fixed ropes. The hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the Sorgenti del Lys.
Public Transport
Take the VITA bus from Gressoney-La-Trinité to Staffal / Capolinea, the last stop in the Lys Valley. From there, follow the walking directions to the Sorgenti del Lys via trail marker 7. A one-way bus ticket costs around €2-€3. The walk from the bus stop to Sorgenti del Lys takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Car
From Gressoney-La-Trinité, drive north on the SP44 road towards the Lys Valley. After approximately 10 km, you will reach a parking area in Staffal near the trail head. Parking is free, but it can get crowded during peak season. From the parking area, follow the well-marked hiking trail (trail 7) leading to the Sorgenti del Lys, which is about a 1.5 to 2 hour walk uphill.
