Car
If you're driving, start by heading south on the SP8 from any location in Mugello towards Florence. Continue on the SP8 until you merge onto the A1 motorway towards Florence. Take the exit for Firenze Sud and follow signs for Piazzale Michelangelo. After exiting the motorway, you will continue straight until you reach Viale Michelangelo. From there, follow Via de' Bardi, where Giardino Bardini is located. There is limited street parking available nearby, so be prepared to find a spot in the surrounding area, which may incur parking fees.
Public Transportation (Train and Bus)
Begin your journey by taking a train from any Mugello station (like Borgo San Lorenzo) to Florence Santa Maria Novella (SMN) station. Trains are frequent and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival at SMN, exit the station and head to the nearby bus terminal. Take Bus Line 12 towards 'Piazzale Michelangelo'. After about 15 minutes, get off at 'Piazzale Michelangelo' stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk down Via de' Bardi to reach Giardino Bardini. Make sure to check the bus schedule as they may vary.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
For a more comfortable option, consider taking a taxi or using a ride-sharing service from your location in Mugello directly to Giardino Bardini in Florence. The drive will take approximately 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic. Be aware that fares may vary, and it's advisable to confirm the price with your driver before starting the trip.
