Car
If you are driving from Mugello, take the SR65 road towards Florence. Continue on SR65 for about 30 km until you reach the junction with the A1 motorway. Merge onto the A1 towards Florence. After approximately 20 km, take the exit for Firenze Nord and follow the signs for the city center. Once in Florence, follow signs for 'Centro' and park in one of the nearby parking facilities such as Parcheggio di Villa Costanza. From there, it’s a short walk to Piazza del Duomo.
Public Transportation - Train
From Mugello, head to the nearest train station, which is in Borgo San Lorenzo. Take a train to Florence Santa Maria Novella station. The journey is approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Santa Maria Novella, exit the station and walk straight towards Via Nazionale, then take a right onto Via degli Avelli. Continue straight until you reach Piazza del Duomo, which is about a 15-minute walk from the station.
Public Transportation - Bus
You can also take a bus from various towns in Mugello to Florence. Look for a bus service like 'SITA' that connects Mugello to Florence. Get on the bus at your nearest bus stop and ride it to the main bus terminal in Florence. From the bus terminal, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Piazza del Duomo. Follow signs to 'Duomo' or use a map app for best directions.
