Opening times, essentials, and a few local tips gathered into one calmer, easier-to-scan planning section.
Walking
From Amalfi, Atrani is easily accessible on foot via a pedestrian tunnel. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes, offering stunning views of the coastline. The tunnel is well-lit and provides a safe alternative to walking along the main road. Upon exiting the tunnel, you'll find yourself in the heart of Atrani, near Piazza Umberto I.
Public Transport
The SITA bus connects Amalfi and Atrani. The bus ride takes approximately 5 minutes, departing from Amalfi and arriving in Atrani every 30 minutes. Tickets cost between €1-€2 and can be purchased before boarding at designated ticket machines or local shops. The bus stop in Atrani is located on the main road, a short walk from the town center.
Taxi
Taxis are available from Amalfi to Atrani. The taxi ride takes approximately 1 minute and costs between €13-€16. Taxis can be found at the taxi stand in Amalfi or booked in advance. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Note that during peak season, taxi availability may be limited.
Parking
Parking in Atrani is limited, especially during peak season. Blue line parking spaces are available near the beach at a cost of approximately €2.50 per hour. Spaces are few due to the village's small size. Alternatively, the Luna Rossa parking garage is located just across the tunnel leading from Atrani to Amalfi. The cost is around €5 per hour during the day (9:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and €4 per hour at night (7:01 PM - 8:59 AM). A daily rate may be available, but is less likely during peak season.
