Walking
From the Salerno train station, the seafront is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Exit the station and head straight on Piazza Vittorio Veneto, then continue onto Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi. Turn right onto Via Roma, which leads directly to the seafront. No costs involved.
Public Transport
Several bus lines connect the Salerno train station to the seafront area. Look for buses heading towards the city center or the port. A single ticket costs around €1.30. Alternatively, from the city center, you can take the metro to the Salerno Arbostella station, which is a short walk from the seafront. A single metro ticket also costs around €1.30.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available at the Salerno train station and throughout the city center. A short taxi ride from the train station to the seafront will cost approximately €10-€15, depending on traffic.
Parking
If driving, parking is available in several lots near the seafront, such as Parking Lungomare Salerno on Via la Carnale. Hourly rates range from €1 to €2. Be aware that the Centro Storico of Salerno is a ZTL zone, restricting access to authorized vehicles only. Several car parks are outside the ZTL.
