Walking
Santa Lucia is easily explored on foot, particularly if you are already in the city center. From Piazza del Plebiscito, walk east along Via Cesario Console, then turn right onto Via Santa Lucia. The heart of the district is a short walk, with the waterfront promenade directly ahead. Be aware that the Pallonetto area to the west of Via Santa Lucia is considered less safe.
Public Transport
The closest metro station to Santa Lucia is Municipio (Line 1). From the station, walk along Via Ammiraglio Acton towards the sea, then turn left onto Via Nazario Sauro, which leads into Santa Lucia. A single metro ticket costs €1.50. A 90-minute ticket valid across all forms of Naples transportation costs €1.80.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Naples. From the Naples Airport to Via Partenope, near Santa Lucia, a fixed rate of €25.00 may apply. Short taxi rides around Naples typically start at €5.00. Ensure the driver resets the meter before starting the journey. There is a flat fee of €0.50 per large item of luggage.
