Walking
From Vatoliere in Barano d'Ischia, walk along the road beside the church. This leads to a wooded area where you'll find a metal gate and a cross erected by Passionist Fathers. To the right of the cross, a narrow path marked with a metal net and a sign indicating 'Ristorante sul mare' will lead you to a steep staircase descending to the bay. Be cautious as the path can be exposed and slippery in sections. This hike takes approximately 30 minutes. There are no costs involved in walking to the beach.
Public Transport
From Ischia Porto, take bus line 1 or 2 towards Barano d'Ischia. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the bus stop closest to Via Chiummano. From there, follow signs or ask locals for directions to Spiaggia Scarrupata. Then follow the walking directions. A single bus ticket costs approximately €1.50.
Taxi
From Ischia Porto, a taxi to Barano d'Ischia (center) will cost approximately €25. From Barano (center), follow the walking directions. From there, it is still a 30 minutes walk to the beach. A taxi from Ischia Porto to Barano (Maronti) will cost approximately €30. Note that the taxi stand in Barano d'Ischia is only at Maronti beach. From Maronti beach, you will need to take a taxi boat to Spiaggia Scarrupata.
Boat
During the summer, a taxi boat service operates from Maronti beach to Spiaggia Scarrupata and San Pancrazio Bay. Alternatively, you can rent a boat from various ports on Ischia. The cost of a taxi boat varies depending on the distance and operator.
