Città della Scienza: Naples' Interactive Science Hub

Città della Scienza, or City of Science, is a prominent science museum located in Naples, Italy. Situated in the coastal Bagnoli district, about 15 kilometers from the city center, it serves as a hub for scientific learning and cultural tourism. The museum aims to promote a novel approach to knowledge, catering to contemporary society, the local area, and future generations. The museum features interactive exhibits, workshops, and events suitable for visitors of all ages. Key attractions include Corporea, an interactive exhibition dedicated to the human body, and a state-of-the-art Planetarium with shows created in collaboration with international research centers. Other exhibits like 'Insects & Co.' offer immersive experiences, while temporary exhibitions and seasonal events provide diverse learning opportunities. Founded in 1987 and opened in 1996, Città della Scienza quickly became a significant cultural center in Naples. Although a fire destroyed part of the original Science Centre in 2013, the museum has been rebuilt and continues to offer a wide range of activities.
