Getting There
Funicular
From the central area of Naples, head to the Montesanto Funicular station. You can reach it by walking to Piazza Montesanto, which is about a 10-minute walk from Via Toledo or the Spanish Quarters. Take the Funicular from Montesanto to the top station, which is 'Morghen'. This ride takes approximately 5 minutes and offers beautiful views of the city. You can take the R5 bus from the city center. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop, such as 'Piazza Garibaldi'. Make sure you validate your ticket before boarding. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the stop 'Tito Angelini'. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk uphill to Castel Sant'Elmo. Look for the signs directing you to the castle.
