Getting There

Train
From Pisa Centrale train station, take a train towards Lucca. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lucca train station, exit the station and head straight on Via della Stazione. After a few minutes, you will reach Piazza San Francesco. From there, take Via San Francesco which will lead you to the city walls. Continue walking until you reach Porta San Donato, where the Mura di Lucca is located.

At Pisa Centrale, find the bus terminal located just outside the train station. Look for the bus that goes to Lucca (usually marked as 'Lucca' or 'Line 1'). The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Lucca, get off at the main bus station (Piazza Verdi). From there, walk towards the walls of Lucca, heading to Porta San Donato, which should take you around 10-15 minutes.
