From the center of Pisa, head towards the main train station, Pisa Centrale. Exit the station and walk towards Via Raffaello Sanzio. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with Via XX Settembre. Turn right onto Via XX Settembre. Continue walking straight until you reach Piazza dei Miracoli, where you'll see the famous Leaning Tower. From there, you can take a train to Lucca. Board a train heading to Lucca at the Pisa Centrale station. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lucca train station, exit the station and walk straight onto Viale Carlo del Prete. Follow this road for about 10 minutes until you reach the city walls of Lucca. Enter through one of the gates and continue walking straight until you reach Piazza Santa Maria, which is located in the heart of Lucca.

From the center of Pisa, take Bus Line 1 from the main bus station, which is close to Piazza dei Martiri della Libertà. The bus will take you directly to Lucca. The journey lasts approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Lucca, get off at the bus station. From there, walk straight along Viale Cavour until you reach the city walls. Enter through one of the gates and continue walking straight to Piazza Santa Maria, which is a popular square in Lucca.
