Walking
To reach Piazza Monteoliveto from the Pompeii Archaeological Site, exit the site and head towards the main entrance. Once you exit, turn right and walk towards the bus station named 'Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri'. From there, take the SITA bus towards Naples. The bus will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the 'Piazza Garibaldi' stop. Once you arrive, you can either walk or take the Metro Line 2 to 'Piazza Cavour'. From 'Piazza Cavour', it's a 10-minute walk to Piazza Monteoliveto. Head south on Via Foria, then turn left onto Via Monteoliveto, and you will find the square.
Bus
From Pompeii, walk to the bus station 'Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri'. Board the SITA bus that heads to Naples. After about 40 minutes, disembark at 'Piazza Garibaldi'. From there, take Metro Line 2 towards 'Napoli Centrale'. Get off at 'Piazza Cavour', which is the closest metro station to Piazza Monteoliveto. Exit the metro station and walk south along Via Foria. Turn left onto Via Monteoliveto, and you'll arrive at the square.
