Walking
From the center of Pompeii, head towards the main entrance of the Pompeii archaeological site, which is located at Via Villa dei Misteri. Once you exit the site, turn left onto Via dell'Abbondanza and continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn right on Via Roma and follow it until you reach the train station called 'Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri'. Here, you will catch the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento. Get off at the Ercolano Scavi station, which is approximately 20 minutes away. After exiting the station, follow the signs to the 'Grande Taberna', which is located about a 10-minute walk down the road.
Public Transport
From the main square in Pompeii (Piazza Bartolo Longo), walk to the nearest bus stop located on Via Plinio. Take the EAV bus towards Ercolano. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Ercolano Scavi' and from there, it's a short 5-minute walk to 'Grande Taberna'. Just head straight down Via Alcide de Gasperi until you reach the intersection, then turn left to find the landmark.
