Getting There

  • Walking

    From the entrance of the Pompeii Archaeological Park, walk straight along the main pathway, heading towards the Forum. After approximately 10 minutes, you will reach the Forum area. Here, you can see the Temple of Apollo and the Basilica. Continue walking past the Basilica and take the left path leading towards Via Villa dei Misteri. Follow this path for another 5 minutes until you reach a fork. Keep to the right and follow the signs for the House of the Cryptoporticus, which is just a short distance ahead on your right.

    If you are near the House of the Vettii, head towards the large intersection near the House of the Vettii. From there, take the path leading to Via Villa dei Misteri. This path should take about 3-4 minutes. The House of the Cryptoporticus will be on your left as you approach the end of Via Villa dei Misteri.

    If you are currently at the Amphitheater, exit the Amphitheater area and head towards the main pathway leading to the Forum. Once you reach the Forum, follow the same directions as from the entrance: walk towards the Basilica, then take the left path to Via Villa dei Misteri. This route will take about 15 minutes in total.
