Walking
From the main beach area of Positano (Spiaggia Grande), head up the stairs located at the eastern end of the beach. Continue past the numerous shops and cafes along Via Cristoforo Colombo. Follow the path until you reach a small square called Piazza dei Mulini. From there, take the stairs leading up to Via Pasitea. Proceed along Via Pasitea, and as you walk, enjoy the beautiful views of the coast. Eventually, you will reach another set of stairs that will take you directly to Piazza Flavio Gioia. Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta is located prominently in this square, easily recognizable by its stunning dome and façade.

If you are starting from the Positano ferry terminal, exit the terminal and turn right onto Via del Saraceno. Walk straight until you reach the main road, Via Cristoforo Colombo. Turn left and walk along this road until you come to the intersection with Via Pasitea. Turn right onto Via Pasitea, then follow the street until it leads you to the stairs going up to Piazza Flavio Gioia. Once you reach the square, Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta will be directly in front of you.

If you are near the Hotel Le Sirenuse or the Positano Town Hall, head down towards the beach and take Via Cristoforo Colombo towards the main beach area. Once you reach Piazza dei Mulini, take the stairs up to Via Pasitea. Continue straight until you reach Piazza Flavio Gioia. Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta is located in the square, so you can easily spot it from there.
