Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, head towards Bitonto from your current location in Puglia. Use the A14 highway and take the exit for Bitonto. Follow the signs directing you to the city center. Once you reach Bitonto, navigate to Piazza Cattedrale, where you will find the cathedral located at number 19. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that some areas may require payment. Look for blue lines indicating paid parking zones.

• Public Transportation (Train)

  To reach the Cathedral via train, take a regional train towards Bari Central Station. From Bari Central, transfer to a train heading to Bitonto (Trenitalia operates this route). The journey from Bari to Bitonto takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Bitonto train station, exit and follow the signs to the city center (approximately a 15-minute walk) or catch a local bus towards Piazza Cattedrale. The bus fare ranges from €1.00 to €1.50.

  If you prefer to take a bus, check the local bus schedules for services from various locations in Puglia to Bitonto. The buses typically depart from major towns and cities such as Bari and can take around 40 minutes to reach Bitonto. Once you arrive at the Bitonto bus station, the cathedral is within walking distance. Head towards the city center, and in about 10 minutes on foot, you will arrive at Piazza Cattedrale.
