Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, navigate to Polignano a Mare, a coastal town in Puglia. From Bari, take the A14 motorway toward Taranto, and exit at 'Polignano a Mare'. Follow the signs to the town center. Once in Polignano, drive to Via Gelsomino. There are limited parking options near the viewpoint, so plan to arrive early to secure a spot. The viewpoint is about a 10-minute walk from the main parking areas.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Viewpoint of Grotta Palazzese via public transportation, take a train from Bari Centrale to Polignano a Mare. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Polignano a Mare train station, exit and head towards the town center. From there, you can either walk (approximately 15-20 minutes) or take a local bus to get closer to the viewpoint. Buses may run less frequently, so check the local schedule ahead of time.

• Walking

  If you're already in the town center of Polignano a Mare, locate Via Gelsomino, which is the street leading to the viewpoint. Follow the street until you reach the viewpoint. The walk is scenic, taking you through charming streets and offering glimpses of the coastline. Be prepared for some uphill walking as you approach the viewpoint.
