Bus
From Rimini, head to the Rimini train station (Stazione di Rimini). You can catch a bus from the bus terminal located just outside the station. Look for buses heading towards Cesena. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Cesena, disembark at the main bus station (Piazza della Libertà), which is just a short walk from Piazza del Popolo. From the bus station, walk straight towards the historical center, and you will see the square ahead.
Train
Make your way to Rimini train station (Stazione di Rimini). Purchase a ticket to Cesena at the ticket counter or machine. Trains to Cesena run frequently, and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Cesena train station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located just outside. You can take a local bus to Piazza della Libertà or choose to walk. If you decide to walk, it’s about a 20-minute stroll to Piazza del Popolo, where you will find the beautiful square.
Walking
If you are staying in a central location in Rimini, consider taking a leisurely walk to Piazza del Popolo. Start at the seafront (Viale Regina Elena) and walk towards the main streets leading to the historical center. Follow Viale Ceccarini and then merge onto Via Roma which will lead you to the center. It’s about a 1 hour and 15-minute walk, so wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the sights along the way.
