Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Gallipoli, which is approximately 30 minutes from Lecce. Once you reach Gallipoli, follow the signs for 'Spiaggia di Punta Pizzo' or 'Isola Sant' Andrea'. As you approach the coast, take Via delle Dune and continue straight until you reach the parking area near the beach. From the parking area, you can walk to the beach and access Isola Sant' Andrea. Keep in mind that some parking lots may charge a fee, typically around €1 to €2 per hour.
Public Transportation
To reach Isola Sant' Andrea via public transportation, take a train from Lecce to Gallipoli. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Gallipoli train station, exit and head to the bus stop nearby. Board the bus heading to 'Punta Pizzo' or 'Isola Sant' Andrea'. The bus ride may take around 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus stop close to the beach, you will need to walk about 500 meters to reach the beach access point. Bus tickets typically cost around €1-€2. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return times to Gallipoli.
