Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of San Gimignano, head south on Via San Giovanni toward Piazza della Cisterna. Continue straight until you reach the end of the piazza. Turn left onto Via Folgore da San Gimignano. Follow this road as it curves and becomes Via della Madonna. After about 300 meters, you will reach a fork. Take the right fork onto Via Vecchia. Continue for another 1.5 km, enjoying the scenic views of the Tuscan countryside. You will eventually reach a sign for 'Pontassieve.' Continue straight, and after approximately 2 km, you will see Castello del Trebbio on your right.

    From San Gimignano, walk to the nearest bus stop at Piazza della Libertà. Catch the bus to Florence (check the local schedule for times). Once you arrive at the Florence bus terminal, transfer to a bus heading towards Pontassieve. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Via di Santa Brigida, and from there, it's a short walk to Castello del Trebbio. Follow Via di Santa Brigida until you see the castle.
