If you're starting from the historic center of San Gimignano, head towards the main street, Via San Giovanni. Follow this street until you reach the Piazza della Cisterna, a famous square in the town. From Piazza della Cisterna, take the narrow street that leads to Via San Matteo. Continue straight until you reach a fork in the road, and take the left path which will lead you uphill to Piazza Sant'Agostino. The square is located at the top of the hill, and you'll recognize it by the beautiful medieval architecture surrounding it.
