Tuscany Day Trip: Cycling, Cooking Class, Wine and San Gimignano!
We'll never forget this fabulous excursion - cycling fun for all!
What a great experience! Chris and Jason made this trip so easy for us to book, take, and enjoy. It was a highlight of our time in Italy. Highly recommended for a day trip out of Florence. My husband is the regular California cyclist and my son and I ride bikes, but not on a weekly basis. We booked directly with IBikeTuscany and selected the Florence to Siena Soft Ride. It was perfection. We chose Sunday for the trip because we thought most things in Florence would be closed on Sunday. We were wrong about that, but turns out traffic is light driving into Tuscany on Sunday so we had extra time with Jason and were able to stop off in a darling little village for a walkabout before we started our ride. The bikes were great - good gears for the rolling hills and sized for our heights before they met us. Jason and Chris have been organizing bike rides for years. Their knowledge of Tuscany and Florence is exceptional - this is a reason to book I Bike Tuscany. They know all the back roads, have solid knowledge of the area's history, and know many of the villagers in the small towns which made the trip even more special. It was fun greeting the folks in the small village - we really felt like part of the landscape! Even though we're not big wine drinkers, stopping at the winery in the Chianti wine region was wonderful. We learned so much about how the grapes are grown, the different regulations that Italy has vs. California, for example, and which specific grapes went into each wine that we tasted. We took this trip in June and the vineyards were spectacular. Stopping finally at Siena, we had time on our own to have lunch and explore the old city. Jason waited for us (our family had the group trip to ourselves) and when we wanted to leave 30 minutes early due to the heat, it was no problem! Back to Florence we went and we'll always remember this exceptional day in Tuscany. Tips: Don't be afraid to do this if you think you might bonk on the hills. This 64-year-old made it most of the way. I rode with Jason in the van up the 'medium' climb and then got back on my bike to finish the ride into Siena. No shame at all! The guys plan the routes to be fun, not scary. Scenery is stunning. Conversation is priceless. If we had another week in Tuscany, we'd book another trip for the fraternity and the exercise! What a treat to be out cycling in Italy!

Tuscany Winery Hopping Tour with Lunch & Tastings at 2 Vineyards
Great tasting experience!
Fun and relaxed experience! Got to taste several different wines accompanied by charcuterie-type snacks. Smooth transportation. The tasting hosts were very kind and fun! Punctual but still felt like we had enough time at both places, highly recommend!

Tasting in a Tuscan Vineyard with transfer from Pisa
Great experience
The experience had a very good setup with transfers to and from the vineyard. You are well received by everyone and their passion for the vineyard and to continue its heritage is evident in all the details. The vineyard is located in a beautiful location with views of the vineyards. The wines, olive oil and snacks were delicious. We couldn't be more pleased and would like to thank the crew for this amazing experience! Greetings from Marie and Julia
