If you are starting from the San Gimignano's main entrance at Porta San Giovanni, walk straight along Via San Giovanni. You will soon pass a few shops and cafes. Continue walking straight until you reach Piazza della Cisterna, which will be on your left. This is a beautiful square surrounded by medieval towers, and it’s hard to miss.
